Dr. Yasin Kürşad Varsak was born in Kırıkkale in 1985. He completed middle school at Kırıkkale Anatolian High School and high school at Kırıkkale Science High School, and entered Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine in 2003. In 2007, he was in the United States of America as part of the student exchange program. In 2009, he started his education in Meram Medical Faculty, Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. In 2012, He worked with Eren Berber,MD on Robotic Surgery at the Endocrinology and Metabolism Institute, Department of Endocrine Surgery Cleveland Clinic Cleveland Ohio USA,. In the same year, he met Daniel Alam MD, who performed the first face transplant in the United States, and had the opportunity to observe his work in the field of Facial Plastic Surgery. In 2012, He studied as a visiting scholar under supervision of Robert K.Jackler,MD Stanford University California USA in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Department of Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery. In 2013 his project with Peter Luke Santa Maria was supported by The Council of Higher Education and The Garnett Passe and Rodney Williams Memorial Foundation Australia. He was appointed to the Stanford otology clinic as a Research Fellow with the support of TUBITAK and YÖK overseas researcher doctor scholarship from Turkey , which he was entitled to receive in order to study for his project. He carried out many scientific studies at Stanford University in 2013. In addition, during his time at Stanford University, he worked on Otology Surgery on freshly frozen cadavers in the Rodney C. Perkins microsurgery laboratory. During this time He had the opportunity to observe the clinical studies and surgeries of Nicholas Blevens,MD. He completed his residency in 2014. He passed the United States Medical License Exam in 2015. In the same year, he passed the written and oral stages of the Turkish Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery board exam and was entitled as board certified Otolaryngologyst and Head and Neck Surgeon . Between 2014-2016, he fulfilled his compulsory service obligation at Konya Numune Hospital. He graduated from the Otology Neurotology School, where he studied between 2015 and 2016. He graduated from Facial Plastic Surgery school, where he studied between 2016-2017. After 2018, he started his private practice life and increased his studies in the field of Facial Plastic Surgery. Having signed many domestic and foreign scientific studies, Yasin Kürşad VARSAK,MD has been continuing his medical career in Istanbul Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic, which he founded, since 2019. He performs his surgeries at Private Anadolu Medical Center in Affiliated With John Hopkins Medicine. Married and father of two children, Yasin Kürşad VARSAK,MD speaks advanced English and intermediate German. He is as interested in Visual Arts as he is in Facial Plastic Surgery and continues his human portrait drawings and ceramic works as a hobby in this field.
